Breaking Ground on Rising Aspirations!

TC3 Capital Campaign

At the dawn of the 21st century, we live in a society in the midst of a digital revolution. Forever changed are the ways we communicate ideas and learn about the ideas of others. We must prepare our students for success in the digital age.

Today we have compelling new research about learning and remarkable advances in technology. Brain research illuminates the many different ways we learn while television, radio, the Internet, photography, animation, and computer graphics converge into a field we call "New Media." These dramatic changes transform both what we learn and how we learn, and these new tools are now as fundamental to education as the library was in previous generations.

As a learning-centered college, we must help our students leverage their talents and skills for success in this new era. We welcome the challenge.

New Academic Spaces to Accomodate Increasing Demand

TC3 is in high demand. The college’s enrollment has grown 60 percent in the past nine years. The College’s main campus in Dryden was designed for 2,000 full time equivalent students (FTEs). This year, enrollment will climb past 3,100. We are squeezed for space!

TC3 plays a vital role in regional economic development, contributing more than $72 million to our economy every year. This number will grow to $93 million by 2007. Additionally, more than 3,000 local residents count on TC3 to provide professional development workshops and nearly 40 corporations, businesses, and industries receive customized training for their employees. In this way, TC3 helps local employers sharpen their competitive edge in a global marketplace.

TC3 remains the people’s college. About three-quarters of our 12,000 alumni live in our community. Our Business Development and Training Center trains thousands of community residents every year. While the contribution of a community college has dramatically changed from even a decade ago, at its core TC3 remains a community resources and partner. WE aspire to lead our communities in the digital age.

The college stands at a defining moment in its history. Squeezed for space in a rapidly changing environment, we have developed a $32.4 million campus master plan to enable us to meet current demands and position us for the future.
